JAKARTA, March 15, 2025 – PT Daikin Applied Solutions Indonesia (DASI) served as a sponsor for the 2025 Gathering & Iftar event held by the Association of Chief Engineering (ACE) DKI Jakarta, themed “Efisiensi Energi: Langkah Pasti Sektor Komersial Dalam Mewujudkan Target NDC” which took place at the Hilton Hotel Jakarta.

According to the Indonesia Research Institute for Decarbonization (IRID), the NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) is a commitment formulated by Parties (countries that have ratified the Paris Agreement) to contribute to the reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions within the framework of the Paris Agreement. Nonetheless, Parties may also include their efforts to enhance resilience against the impacts of climate change in their NDCs. Countries must ensure a decent living and environment for their citizens, which forms the foundation of Indonesia’s commitment to climate change mitigation. In line with this, Indonesia is strongly committed to reducing its national GHG emissions and playing a role in reducing global GHG emissions.

In accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 98 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Carbon Economic Value to Achieve the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Target, Indonesia has submitted its GHG emission reduction target to the UNFCCC of 29% through its own efforts and 41% with international support. On September 23, 2022, Indonesia further enhanced its emission reduction ambition through the submission of the Enhanced NDC document, aiming for a 31.89% reduction through its own capabilities and 43.20% with international support.

This event aimed to highlight the importance of energy efficiency in Indonesia and to encourage innovation among stakeholders in creating effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
